Around the world, millions observe fasts—whether for health, tradition, or spiritual reasons. However, for a believer, fasting signifies more than just leaving food on the table; it represents a wholehearted devotion to God. In times of great challenge, nations and individuals have turned to fasting—not as a ritual but as a cry for divine intervention. One example is the story of Esther, where her people fasted for deliverance (Esther 4:16). Fasting aligns our hearts with God’s will, clears spiritual clutter, and strengthens us to resist sin.
When we fast, we tune our spirits to heaven’s frequency. As our physical desires decrease, spiritual awareness increases. It is in these moments that God speaks, heals, and empowers.
Jesus affirmed this: “But when you fast…your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you” (Matthew 6:17–18).
Child of God, fasting doesn’t just make you stronger—it brings you closer. It reminds you that in God’s presence, your spirit is most alive.
